Prestigious looking nameplates and signs incorporating a fine-brushed metal look are popular for interior use. KURZ offers a wide range of different colored and brushed fi nished aluminum coated hot stamping foils for this use. There is a good track record using these foils - they handle well, last long and have a truly convincing metallic appearance. Equivalent hot stamping foils for exterior signs that are photostable, weatherproof and resistant to corrosion have not been available so far.

KURZ has now developed SolidBrushed Chrome - a foil with a brushed decor appearance that is suitable for exterior use and which is attracting signifi cant interest in the engraving industry. As with all Solid brushed products, this

new chrome foil portrays a three-dimensional brushed effect together with a

smooth surface. Consequently, surface dirt is very easily removed leaving no residue. The foil is further distinguishable by its high abrasion and scratch

resistance. SolidBrushed Chrome comes in four metallic colors - stainless steel, nickel, antique gold and copper. Foil delivery is not subject to minimum order requirements.

SolidBrushed Chrome's shiny, brushed look and high resistance to the elements makes it attractive for automotive applications. KURZ has developed vacuum moldable versions for such use. SolidBrushed Chrome can be adapted for hot

stamping, inmold decorating and Insert Molding processes and is also available for automobile use requiring more large scale 3-D molding.

Due to increased demand, KURZ has reintroduced its metallized non-conductive

foil range. With electrical restance up to 1012 Ohm, these foils are closely adapted

to match the technical requirements of different home electronic manufacturers.
